Our Scope
This site covers day cruises and reef trips from Cairns to Green Island and the surrounding Great Barrier Reef. That includes half-day and full-day island cruises, sailing tours, outer reef pontoon combos, snorkelling and glass-bottom boat packages, and dive or Seawalker options (see Best Snorkelling Tour). If a trip does not depart from Cairns and call at Green Island or the nearby reef, it is out of scope.
We do not cover accommodation, flights, car hire or general Cairns attractions. Nor do we list tours to other reef destinations such as Fitzroy Island on their own, though the combined Fitzroy and Green Island day trip appears because it fits the island-cruise scope. Where a category like diving sits partly outside our focus, we only include the Green Island departures, not dive trips elsewhere on the reef.
